An extraordinary handcrafted reproduction inspired by the historic Sitara of the Holy Kaaba Door from the Ottoman era.
Meticulously created by hand using silver-plated copper wire embroidery on silk fabric, the piece recreates the richness and character of the historic textile, including the Sultan’s name and dated inscriptions, with an intentionally aged finish inspired by the original.
During the Ottoman period, the Kaaba’s Kiswah and its embroidered textiles carried inscriptions recording the patronage and date of production.
